Inquiry Based Learning

Our contemporary approach to learning sees our students undertake personalised learning and specific investigations that build knowledge of given topics while at the same time expanding their ability to gather, process and make thoughtful use of information. Our Inquiry-based learning aims to equip students to be active participants in their world and build a deeper understanding and use of strategies and thinking tools. Each term our learning communities focus on a particular concept and whole school throughline, the aim of the enquiry curriculum is for students to investigate and answer questions that are of particular interest to the concept.  This approach ensures that learning is both meaningful and relevant to the students.

Each term a rich concept is explored from Prep to Year 6.  This rich concept is also developed in conjunction with the Victorian Curriculum.
