Our School Charism
Our Founding Orders- The Sisters of Mercy
Our Patron Saint- Saint Brendan the Navigator
Every Catholic school has its own charism, shaping its identity and guiding the way it represents and serves its community.
When we understand our school’s charism—our special story—it helps us know who we are. Our story includes the traditions, signs and symbols of our foundingorder, the Sisters of Mercy, and the journey of our Patron Saint, St Brendan. By sharing this story, we can live out the qualities of Catherine McAuley, thefoundress of the Mercy Sisters, and St Brendan, by showing kindness, courage, and care in the way we treat one another, our teachers, and the wider community.
With the teachings of Jesus at the centre of all we think, do and say, knowing our school charism and living it out helps us to be better people in society.
“This is what the Lord asks of you: only this, to act justly, to love tenderly,
and to walk humbly with your God.”
